AndroidPIT Store is Closing

For several years Orange Squeeze has been available on AndroidPIT, in addition to the other Android marketplaces such as Google Play, Amazon and SlideME. As of December 31, 2014 the AndroidPIT store will close and you will no longer be able to receive updates for Orange Squeeze through that store.

If you purchased Orange Squeeze through AndroidPIT and you wish to repurchase through one of the more common alternatives, contact us a info@orangebikelabs.com and we can help arrange for a switchover at no charge to you. Please include as many details as you can about your AndroidPIT purchase so that we can easily verify the license.

Thank you for being long-time customers!

Orange Squeeze 2.0.11 Released

What with all the excitement over the Orange Squeeze 2.5 beta, we don't want to lose sight of the fact that not everyone wants to live on the bleeding edge. We released a few new builds of 2.0 in the past two weeks that fix some nagging issues. Here are the release notes for those:

2.0.11 (2014-05-29)

Defects fixed

  • Checkboxes for genre selection weren't working in Random Mix (bug #143) and Alarm Settings (bug #161).

2.0.10 (2014-05-22)

Defects fixed

  • Downloads of MP3's were failing on many devices. FLAC and other formats were unaffected.
  • Better mapping of track/album artists when tagging transcoded MP3 files.

2.0.9 (2014-05-19)

Notable Changes

  • This upgrade improves server discovery to ensure compatibility with the current 2.5 preview release.

Orange Squeeze 2.5 Beta Update

There's a lot of enthusiasm around the beta release of Orange Squeeze! Thanks for all the feedback. We had a brief rough patch, with several device and OS-specific crashes right out of the gate, but those were ironed out within the first 24 hours. Now the goal is to bring back feature parity with 2.0 while also continuing to iterate on the UI and new features.

If you're interested in finding out the current state of the beta, there is only one place you need to go. Before you submit a bug report, you can check there to find out if the issue is known. But don't worry if you drop us a line about a bug that's known. It happens!

The best place to have a public discussion about the beta is on Twitter or on Google+.
